Sometimes I'll need their beauty, their light to reflect on, to fill up my breath so that I can breathe. Light always overcomes darkness, and, in the light, we get to admire beauty. There’s a place I didn’t look, I know not why. Over here where I did look, I saw the ordinary looking back, just being, not challenging. It was safe here but exponentially boring, the colors refused to sing so things were dull for the seeing. Why it took so long to turn around, to finally look this way, I’m not sure, but in looking I saw, and in seeing I was glad! FINALLY, a zip as the colors sang a chorus of crisp brightness, bringing along with it everything to life; and it was as though everything wanted to dance because after all, how could they sit motionless over this way where at last I turned and looked! Praise God!
